Bow Valley College is a prestigious and well-known public, board-governed college located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is one the largest comprehensive community college in Alberta. In 1965 it was originally known as Alberta Vocational Centre. However, in 1990 Alberta Vocational Centre was renamed as Alberta Vocational College. Then in 1998 Alberta Vocational College became a Board-Governed institution and the name was officially changed to Bow Valley College. This college is a member of the Alberta Rural Development Network and Colleges/Institutes of Canada.


Since 1965, Bow Valley College has prided itself on being a student-focused community college that is immensely diverse. This diversity is reflected across the breadth and depth of our programming, which includes foundational skills development and English-language learning.


The college offers certificate and diploma programs in health care, community services, business, and creative technologies, and many of our career programs include work experience.
