Overview

We have been one of Australia's pioneering universities for more than 50 years. In 1967, 552 students enrolled at La Trobe University, the third university to open in Victoria, which has grown to accommodate more than 36,000 students, with over 7,000 international students from 110 countries.

We now have a network of campuses, with over 28,000 students at our Melbourne Campus and over 7,500 at our campuses in Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, Mildura, Melbourne City (Collins Street), Shepparton and Sydney.

Melbourne Campus
Located in Bundoora, just 14 kilometres from the city, our Melbourne Campus offers a unique lifestyle. You’ll get to experience the fresh air and natural beauty of the Australian outdoors at the Campus, which is set in beautiful native bushland and even has its own wildlife sanctuary. At the same time, you’ll only be a tram ride away from all the attractions of inner-city Melbourne.

You can study a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts, social sciences, communications, business, education, health, IT, engineering, law and science at the Melbourne Campus. You’ll also have access to state-of-the-art facilities including tech and business labs and the La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science.
