Cumberland College is one of seven regional colleges in Saskatchewan. it is a small, rural college in northeast Saskatchewan that prides itself on providing personalized support for students. Since 1975, Cumberland College has been providing high quality training and education programs for adults in northeastern Saskatchewan. With campuses in Nipawin, Melfort, and Tisdale, affordable training is available close to home! The training options are virtually endless! Admission Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Cumberland College
- International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Accomodation
On-Campus Housing: Students can book an appointment with the learning strategists and apply for an academic accommodation. The strategist will allocate accommodation as per the student’s need and requirements. They college provides its students fully furnished apartments and there are units for students and family housing units. The students have other options like dormitory as well. Every unit is furnished with a kitchenette with basic cooking applications as well.
Off-Campus Housing: The off campus hoses can be rooms for rent, studio apartments, apartment flats and much more that are located within the vicinity of the institution. The students should come well in advance and look for residence options before the classes resume. The student associations at the university help students out with off campus accommodation and assist them with the process.
Homestay: Coming to a new country can be exciting, but also intimidating. The Homestay program partners you with a family, who will help you to adjust to your new city by offering advice and information on getting around. You may choose to stay with the family for the rest of your study period, or just until you find your own apartment. While in homestay, you will also have the advantage of being in an environment in which English is the primary language.

Scholarships
Cumberland College offers its students the chance claim a number of awards, scholarships and bursaries that not only help them with their finances during college but also gives the students credit for their outstanding academic performance.
Entrance Scholarships and General Awards; worth over $110 000 are available for students taking full-time trade, technical and university programs through Cumberland College. International students are eligible for the General Awards that are awarded in March of each year. The majority of the awards are between $500 and $2000. Students pursuing post-secondary training at Cumberland College are eligible to apply for two categories of awards:
