Overview

Northwest Community College popularly known as Coast Mountain College (CMTN) is a highly acclaimed post-secondary academic institution located in Northern British Columbia. It was established in 1975 at Terrace under the name North West Community College (NWCC) and was renamed CMTN in 2018. The college has six regional campus locations in British Columbia communities namely: Hazelton, Haida Gwaii, Queen Charlotte, Prince Rupert, Smithers and Terrace. 


The main campus spawns 30 acres that is approximately 5 kilometres from downtown terrace. CNTM offers its students state of the art facilities, small class sizes, well equipped study centers, health and wellness services and many more. Students can also sign up for online courses, university credit programs, trades foundation and apprenticeship programs. The students are also encouraged to participate in community outreach programs and participate in giving back to the community.


CMTN has abundance of trained teachers and experts who support the students at every step and help them understand the details even better. The abundant success of students graduating from CMTN can also be credited to the exceptional student services and academic services provided to the students. Students are given the option of place based learning allowing them to learn both in classrooms and outdoor spaces.
