Sprott Shaw College was founded more than 100 years ago by Robert James Sprott and William Henry Shaw and to date has been faithful to its vision of offering the right programs to students to develop the skills they require for a prosperous future. The college provides relevant and accredited training and education to its national and international students and guides them towards work-force expectations through an accurate role modeling.

Welcome to the Sprott Shaw Chilliwack College Campus! Stationed in the heart of the city’s downtown core, the Chilliwack campus is home to stunning mountain views and valley backdrops near the Fraser River. Admission Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Sprott Shaw College
- International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

- Academic Advising
- We help plan for programs and curriculums suitable for international students, selecting the best study plan for students who wish to pursue further education, seek employment or apply for immigration in Canada.
- Airport Pickup
- Our student service centre offers airport pickup for international students. A student services representative will welcome you at the airport and escort you to your host family. To use this service, simply send your flight information at least two weeks prior to arrival in Canada.

- Medical Insurance
- All students are required to have medical insurance for the duration of their studies at Sprott Shaw. International Students must obtain Private Medical Insurance for at least your first three months in BC before receiving a BC provincial Medical Services Plan (MSP) coverage. We will help students submit the MSP application shortly after arrival in BC.
- Career Planning
- With approximately 6,000 graduates entering the job market every year, Sprott Shaw’s Career Planning and Management help students to make a better and smoother transition into the workforce. All Sprott Shaw campuses have professional GSR crew to assist students with resume building, interview skills training, and career exploring.
- Activities
- Sprott Shaw offers a wide range of activities during and after class that are fun, interesting, and most of all, an educational experience for international students. Our teachers and staff encourage students to participate in various conversations and communicative activities, celebrations of International and Canadian holidays, student clubs, sports teams, alumni associations, and tutoring/exchange programs.
