Located in the heart of the city, Vancouver Community College (VCC) offers academic, cultural, and social environments that inspire relevant real-world training. Admission Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Vancouver Community College
- International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Homestay
We encourage international students to experience life with a Canadian family until they become accustomed to their new surroundings. Homestay is a safe and secure choice, providing students with the opportunity to practice English outside the classroom and learn about the Canadian way of life. Liane's Vancouver Homestay places VCC international students with homestay families that provide the following:
- Private bedroom with a bed, bedding, dresser, desk, chair, desk lamp, closet
- Shared common areas of the house including bathroom, kitchen, and TV room
- Use of telephone and laundry facilities
- Three meals per day (be sure to check with your Homestay family for exact meal times)

Scholarships
VCC International Regional Entrance Award
Learning with students from different geographical, cultural, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds adds value and enriches the learning experiences for all students. To enhance student experiences, VCC offers a maximum of $160,000 annually in awards to new international applicants from underrepresented countries in selected programs.
International Regional Entrance Award: Fall 2025 term
- The award amount varies between $2,000 and $5,000 per person.
- Applicants demonstrating strong English proficiency and higher academic performances are more likely to be selected.
- Selected students will be notified when they receive VCC's Offer of Admission.
- Awards are awarded in the order we receive qualified applications (on a first-come-first-served basis). Applicants are encouraged to apply for admission to VCC as soon as possible for a higher chance of being considered for the award.
- VCC International Regional Entrance Awards are non-refundable, and non-transferable between programs. The award may not be granted in the case of a deferral of admission.
- Most programs offered in Fall 2025 are eligible, except for the following programs:
- All certificates
- Dance Diploma (contact Arts Umbrella for scholarship options)
