Accomodation

On-Campus Housing
Humber provides on-campus residence for more than 1,450 students at our two Toronto campuses. Applying for a room in residence is a simple process. Once you have been accepted to study at Humber you may apply to live in residence with the International Student Residence Application form.

NOTE: On-Campus housing is limited and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you receive a room in residence you will be required to provide a $500 deposit to the Humber Residence Department. The $500 is non-refundable please do not pay until you have been assigned a residence room.

Student Homestay Services
Students looking for a welcoming place to live and wanting to add an enriching element to their Canadian experience can consider a homestay option. Homestay providers coordinate accommodations with a host family, which helps ease the transition into life in a new country.  Humber does not recommend any particular homestay provider and is unable to review the host families and their homes. Students should do their own evaluation of each homestay provider.

Off-Campus Housing/Renting
There are many options for living off-campus. Please note that the International Centre is not responsible for the information provided by Places4Students and other renting websites. The prices and conditions are not part of Humber College’s tuition and should be negotiated directly by the student with the housing provider.

Scholarships

International Entrance Scholarships

$1,000 entrance scholarship for new international students already in Canada with a valid study permit for both the January and May 2025 intakes.
 

Application-Based Scholarships

There are hundreds of scholarships available, valued at $1,000+ to help you stress less about paying for school. Scholarships may include one or more of the following criteria: academic achievement, community involvement, leadership initiatives, extracurricular activities, and in some cases, financial need*.

NOTE: Students who have been selected as a scholarship recipient will be notified approximately 6-8 weeks after applications have closed.

Entrance Scholarships

To recognize academic achievement, Humber offers Degree Entrance and Degree Transfer Scholarships. These scholarships are automatically awarded based on academic average or credential completion.

Degree Entrance Scholarships

Humber awards degree scholarships automatically to graduating high school students based on academic achievement. See the following chart for details. Some of the scholarships are renewable each year if you maintain an average of 80 percent or more.

Degree Entrance Scholarship Average Requirement

Degree Transfer Scholarships ($1,500 - $2,500)
Humber automatically awards degree transfer scholarships to students entering any Humber degree program who have completed a one-year Ontario college certificate* or a two- or three-year diploma with a GPA of 80 per cent or more from a publicly-funded college. Students who have achieved a program GPA of 80 per cent or more will be awarded a one-time scholarship of $1,500 for a certificate program or $2,500 for a diploma program in recognition of their academic achievement. Certificates and diplomas do not have to be related to the degree program of choice and are not tied to the eligibility for advanced standing or transfer credit. No application is required.

*Certificates do not include Ontario Graduate Certificates, Certificates of Achievement or Certificates of Completion.
