Overview
Yukon University is a publicly funded university, providing a wide range of programs to local and international students. We've earned a reputation for quality instruction and small class sizes, providing students with an outstanding educational experience. Our programming meets the needs of students and communities in the Yukon, and beyond.
We prioritize the uniqueness of the North as a driving factor in all that we do to preserve, thrive, and grow the Yukon, together. With tailored learning opportunities and programs, our thirteen campuses play a critical role in delivering education throughout the Yukon. We invite students from across Canada and the world to come study with us and learn more about Canada’s north.
Yukon University has 13 campuses located throughout the Yukon, providing access to post-secondary education.
Each campus offers a variety of academic and vocational programming, such as:

- Career and job readiness programs
- Part-time continuing studies courses
- Certificate, diploma, and degree courses
- Access to Library services

Admission Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Yukon University:
- International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Accomodation
International student accommodation
International students at Yukon University can choose to live on-campus, or off-campus in a homestay or in an independently rented apartment or house. Students attending the School of Fine Arts in Dawson City will need to make separate arrangements.
Campus housing
Yukon University offers secure and attractive non-smoking accommodations for students. Fully furnished single rooms and family apartments are available. All buildings are located right on campus, allowing easy access to the classrooms, cafeteria, library, computer labs, gymnasium and campus store.
