Overview
CBS International Business School is a state-recognised private university of applied sciences for business. We offer accredited Bachelor's, Master's and MBA degree programmes in German and English on a full-time, part-time, or Dual basis. Throughout Germany, the university is represented at seven locations in Cologne, Mainz, Berlin/Potsdam, Aachen, Brühl, Solingen & Neuss. In addition, there are over 160 international partner universities worldwide where students can spend their semester abroad. In various rankings, HR managers and students confirm that the CBS is the best private university of applied sciences for business administration in the Rhineland and is one of the best digital education providers in Germany.
Since 2016, we have been part of the Stuttgart-based Klett Group, one of Germany's leading education companies. With our mission statement Creating tomorrow, we bring together players in tomorrow´s world of work: We offer students an internationally oriented, practical business degree programmes with individual support. We provide companies with an interactive platform to position themselves as practice partners and future employers.
The CBS faculty consists of over 70 professors who are supported by many freelance lecturers from the business world. CBS students thus benefit from the perfect mix of theory and practice. With around 30 percent of international students from over 75 nations, we also offer a particularly intercultural study environment. We implement personal support through small learning groups and the energetic commitment of the CBS faculty and administration. Our students, alumni, faculty, and service team together form the CBS family.
Cologne Campus
The largest of the seven CBS campuses is Campus Cologne. In addition to the approx. 1,600 CBS students, the metropolis with over a million inhabitants accommodates another 99,000 students. In addition to numerous study possibilities, the city offers numerous job opportunities as well as a multitude of leisure activities due to its attractive location in the Rhineland. As a trade fair and media city, Cologne is known throughout Germany and also internationally as a tourist destination. Above all, students appreciate the multicultural, cosmopolitan start-up spirit, and the many opportunities to build up their personal business network during their CBS studies. Many German companies have their headquarters in Cologne or the neighboring city of Düsseldorf - internships and student trainee jobs are therefore available in numerous sectors. As housing is notoriously scarce in student-dominated cities, CBS offers help in finding suitable accommodation through fixed quotas in halls of residence. The Cologne campus of the CBS is located in the southern Neustadt, a central "Veedel" (quarter) which is extremely popular among students. The leisure time of CBS students in Cologne takes place in cozy pubs in the old and new town of Cologne or on hot summer days on the banks of the Rhine.

Every year the renowned business magazine “WirtschaftsWoche” publishes its ranking of the best German universities. The basis for this ranking is a survey conducted in cooperation with the consulting agency Universum. The ranking evaluates the quality of the universities’ graduates. HR managers from different companies and industrial sectors were asked which university-equipped students best for their companies’ requirements.
