Student Support
The DeVry University has carved a niche for itself owing to the exceptional student services made available to the students. There are a vast number of student services available at The DeVry University, which help the students both old and new in numerous different ways. The following are a few of them:
Student Support Advisor
Once a student is admitted, they are assigned a Student Support Advisor (SSA) who offers academic and financial advising, and are also available to discuss career plans, professional services and extra-curricular activities. Advisors also help students understand their plan of study and keep them on track to meet their academic goals, making them aware of all available resources offered by DeVry. Advisors also ensure students understand their financial plan, including all appropriate and accurate documentation along the way that supports the financial status and progress of their academic accomplishments. They possess accurate knowledge of the university, state, and federal financial aid policies, guidelines, and regulations and help students figure out payment plan options, billing issues or other concerns that might come up during the process or school year.
Inspire for Advisors
Inspire for Advisors is a predictive analytics technology that signals advisors when a student is being challenged in their education path. When the software identifies at-risk students, advisors can be proactive in their outreach and work with the students who need them most, before challenges set in.
Career Services
Although DeVry does not guarantee employment, Career Services supports DeVry students and alumni within job search planning, career development and employment search.
Onsite and Online Tutoring: Students can schedule one-on-one sessions with professional tutors and submit papers for review through TutorSource. They can get in-depth writing support, including tutorials and APA resources, from The Writing Source.
