Opened in 1969, the College of the Canyons is part of the California Community College system that fostered a reputation for innovation, excellence, partnerships, and student success. 

College of the Canyons strives to give students with robust academic knowledge and the relevant, market-driven, technical skills needed to succeed in an ever-changing global workplace. The college has key partnerships with social service agencies, school districts and local businesses as part of its thrust towards innovation in teaching. Students that attend College of the Canyons benefit from the California 2+2 transfer path to a Bachelor's degree from the California University of their choice.
