Overview

The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) is one of the leading comprehensive universities and 4th largest private university in Texas, committed to educational excellence in a context of faith. With a beautiful main campus in San Antonio, UIW has locations throughout the city, and South and Central Texas as well as two campuses in Mexico and a European Study Center in Strasbourg, France.

UIW educates students to become concerned and enlightened citizens within a global community. It employs a personal, hands-on approach to education to prepare students for career success. As part of the learning experience, students are also encouraged to find a cause they are passionate about and to use their skills to give back to the community by undergoing community service.

UIW is home to 9,000 students coming from other U.S. states and from 70 different countries. The UIW's rich tradition, strong bonds and storied history have given rise to more than 40,000 alumni across the world.
