The education model of BCIT focuses on advancing and launching the careers of the students along with creating the right kind, quantity and quality of skilled professionals to meet the demand of the local market. The international partnerships of the British Columbia Institute of Technology span education, training and research initiatives to East Asia, Central America, Eastern Europe and South America and help the students to learn the theory and put it into practice in a single and comprehensive process.

The small sizes of the classroom along with collaborations with the industry partners make sure that the students get hands-on practical experience while pursuing their education and graduate with industry-ready skills for succeeding in the real job world. Project-based learning and applied internships and research allow the students to gain a competitive edge over graduates from other institutes.
