Overview

Jacksonville University is a premier private institution and is one of ‘America’s best colleges’ in the southern USA according to the U.S. News & World Report.

At Jacksonville University, students have the freedom to pursue their passions and the flexibility to design a customised education. While some schools place restrictions on combining majors and minors, JU encourages students to combine more than 100 majors, minors and preprofessional programs unique to students' interests and skills.

JU is divided into four colleges and two institutes: the College of Arts and Sciences, the Davis College of Business (DCOB), the Linda Berry Stein College of Fine Arts, the Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences (BRCHS), the Marine Science Research Institute (MSRI) and the Public Policy Institute (PPI).

The 250-acre campus sits on the St. Johns River across from downtown Jacksonville and is a few minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean.

Named one of the fastest growing cities in the south, Jacksonville is a vibrant metropolis of nearly 1 million people that continues to live up to its nickname — The Bold City. It’s population growth can be attributed, in part, to the thriving business community that includes both Fortune 500s and innovative startups. A spirit of entrepreneurship within Jacksonville fuels a diverse economy made up of many small to midsize businesses.
