Relevance and resonance underpin everything we do. Our degree and research courses arise from today, but have their sights firmly on the future. We strive to create change that has a positive impact, from local to global.
Melbourne Campus
Melbourne is the capital of the state of Victoria and is home to around five million people. The city is internationally known as a centre for sport, the arts, education, tourism, culture and lifestyle. Victoria welcomes more than 200,000 international students every year.
At Southern Cross University’s Melbourne campus, you'll be taught and supported by highly qualified lecturers with a work-integrated learning focus.
Our friendly student welfare support team is available for confidential advice and counselling for those students who may be struggling with the transition to a new learning and living environment.
The University's experienced academic skills adviser also provides regular academic skills workshops on topics including Australian methods of learning, enhancing critical thinking skills and answering assignment criteria using the appropriate academic language.
An active Student Representative Council (SRC) is on hand to provide students with representation in advocating positive changes within the campus.

Accomodation
There is a lot to consider when planning accommodation in a new country. The Australian Government provides helpful tips about searching for accommodation. Also, UniStays offers services for private rental accommodation in Melbourne.
Off-campus accommodation
While living on-campus is one way to experience university, many students prefer to find their own accommodations to live a more independent lifestyle. UniStays is a free service that helps you find off-campus long and short-term accommodation options, such as share-houses, apartments and granny flats.
Visit the UniStays website to search and browse accommodation listings or add a listing of a rental you have to offer. UniLife is available to offer advice and information about issues relating to share-housing and rental accommodation.
Student Support
Student life and support
At Southern Cross University, your student experience is our priority. Whether joining us on campus, online or both, we always strive to deliver exciting, contemporary and the highest quality learning and living experiences.
Our success in these endeavours, combined with our fantastic locations, staff and support systems, is confirmed by the University's standing at the highest levels of research, rankings, student satisfaction and overall reputation.
We all need a study break at times to unwind with friends doing the things we enjoy. That’s why Southern Cross invests significantly in time and resources to support student social activities, such as netball, touch rugby, yoga and meditation, music performances, cultural celebrations, photographic exhibitions, environmental workshops, Toastmaster seminars and more.
A host of purpose-built facilities are also available for students to book online, including sporting ovals and courts, pools, gyms, theatres, recording studios, dark rooms, editing suites and plenty of outdoor meeting spaces.
