Birmingham City University is a comprehensive and student-centred place of higher learning. It is home to around 25,800 students from 80 different countries. Students enjoy studying in the professional and friendly atmosphere of Birmingham.

A range of subjects can be chosen from the four faculties at Birmingham – Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences; Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment; Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences; Faculty of Arts, Design and Media.

Students can pick from a varied number of services at the University, including accommodation and immigration support, financial assistance, career and job advice, and health and wellbeing support. The Centre for Academic Success helps students improve their academic writing skills through workshops and tutorials.

Birmingham students are highly employable, with 94% of undergraduate students finding employment or starting further studies 6 months from graduating.

An investment of £260 million has already been made towards major facilities and the city centre campus at Eastside. One of the latest developments includes a £57 million Birmingham Conservatoire, which is world famous. The conservatoire received its ‘royal’ status last year, meaning that it is now known as the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

The Students’ Union is an independent organisation, run by students. Besides helping with academic and money matters, the union ensures they become part of the vibrant sports and recreation life on campus.

Birmingham is the UK’s second-largest city, with a long history of welcoming international students. There are scores of things to do and see in the city, including over 50 festivals held every year. It is also a cherished spot for sport lovers, and a great place for entertainment.

Birmingham City University comprises three main campuses, with additional sites located throughout the city – including one of the largest jewellery schools in the world.
