Nottingham Trent University - City Campus

Founded: 1843   Total Students: 33,000+

Overview

With over 40,000 students and staff spanning five university sites, Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is one of the largest and most influential higher education institutions in the country. We are a university that is committed to driving forward meaningful change and we have received a wide range of prestigious awards for our research, dynamism and innovation.

We are proud to be recognised as a university that opens its arms to all. A quarter of our students come from households with a combined income of £15,000 or less, and we were the first university to sign up to the Government’s social mobility pledge, demonstrating our commitment to improving the prospects of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

City Campus

Our City Campus is typical of Nottingham itself. It’s a place that’s big enough to inspire and compact enough to provide a sense of community; one where our best and proudest traditions sit shoulder to shoulder with new theories, new practice and new possibilities. It’s the same mix of heritage and innovation that sums up the city we love.

Our City Campus has it all. Six of our academic schools are based here, as well as an innovative public art gallery, open-working office space for local businesses and an incredible legal advice clinic. Our Newton building is a key feature in the city’s skyline, and from there you can walk to both the Market Square and the Victoria Centre, Nottingham’s main shopping hub, in less than five minutes.
