Overview
With three beautiful campuses in Kingston, Cornwall and Brockville in the province of Ontario today, St. Lawrence first opened its doors in the year 1967. St. Lawrence College has many schools like the School of Applied Science and Computing, School of Justice Studies and Applied Arts, School of Business, School of Contemporary Teaching and Learning, School of Baccalaureate Nursing, School of Health Sciences, School of Community Services and School of Skill Trades and Tourism that cater to its 6700+ students from Canada and over 40 countries worldwide.
The college provides certificates, apprenticeship training and diploma programs along with three-year bachelor degree programs in applied arts in business, science and behavioural psychology. Besides these, numerous students are enrolled in their online and continuing courses as well.
The college maintains a low student-faculty ratio to make sure that every student gets personal attention and more than 88% of the graduates of SLC find employment within the first six months of their graduation.

Admission Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to St. Lawrence College:
- International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Enjoy the convenience of being on campus and the friendships that form when you live in residence. For students who are away from home, sometimes for the first time, living in residence is a great way to begin your college experience.
All of the residences on our three campuses have fully furnished single or double-occupancy suites and common areas for group study and social activities. There are accessible suites available for students with disabilities. Homestay
The Homestay Program is a program where families in Canada open up their home to host international students. Students who live in Homestay become part of the family, have opportunities to practice their language skills, and fully immerse themselves into the Canadian culture. Indigenous Services: Whether you are new to the city or new to St. Lawrence College, the transition to post-secondary education can sometimes be overwhelming. You are not alone! Our Indigenous Student Advisors are here to help you succeed by providing support throughout your entire SLC journey. All self-identified Indigenous students are eligible to access services; proof of ancestry is not required.
In addition, the Waasaabiiidaasamose Indigenous Centre on each campus provides a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere – a home away from home! Students can meet other Indigenous students, participate in activities, or simply relax. The Centre is also open to any member of our SLC community who is interested in learning more about Indigenous cultures.
Library Services: The three campus libraries provide extensive online and print materials, information services, and a variety of spaces for collaborative group work, tutoring, and study. Experienced staff are available in each library to help you find the information you need to complete your assignments or to explore other research interests.

Bursaries and Scholarships at SLC
Thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends, St. Lawrence College has an extensive Scholarships and Bursaries program to help you pay for college.
- A bursary or scholarship can make a BIG difference in helping you pay for college – they range between $500 and $3,000.
- You need to fill out the application ONCE to be considered for all bursaries for which you qualify.
More than 500 bursaries were provided to students across our three campuses last year! This was possible thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends, including many corporations and foundations in the community.
Bursary Application Windows:

- Winter Round: November 25th– January 20th, 2025
We have bumped it up to $2000 CAD, for everyone who submits their Study permit applications between 24th Sept to 31st Oct.
