On Campus Housing
Living in residence offers another dimension to your King’s experience. Living close to all the resources at King’s and living with classmates is an excellent way to thrive academically. Living in residence is convenient, but more importantly, it is a supportive learning environment. We know that your first-year experience is an important time of transition and we are here to help you achieve your goals. We also know that upper year students often want the support and convenience of residence with more flexible meal plan options. In addition to the full-time staff in the Residence and Campus Life Office, Residence Assistants, Residence Sophs, and King’s Academic Peer Mentors are all here to offer peer support.
King's University College provides on-campus housing for approximately 400 students. Living in residence puts you next door to all the facilities at King's, including food services, the library, your classes, and bus service to Western and the City of London. Epworth Houses, King's Commons and most International House rooms are single rooms (single room request form is not required).
Double rooms are the standard accommodation for first year students. For the 2020-2021 academic year all residence rooms will be single rooms.
King's is very pleased to have students from around the world living in residence. Typically, 35% of our residents are international students. We are proud of our multicultural residence community and we encourage residents to embrace the opportunities for cross-cultural learning this community offers.
Off-Campus Housing
King’s offers residence accommodation for first year and upper year students in a variety of building styles. As part of their university experience, some students choose to live off-campus in the last few years of their degree program. King’s students have full access to the Off-Campus Housing Services shared by Western and the affiliate colleges. This service, located in Ontario Hall at Western, also provides everything you need online – access to rental listings, information on tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities and average rental prices, budgeting tips, and access to regular newsletters and mediation services. It is the best place to begin your off-campus housing search.
