Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Education and Psychology

Program Overview

You will acquire knowledge and skills in two dynamic and related disciplines.  You will study biological, cognitive, social, personality and developmental aspects of psychology, and have the opportunity to apply psychological theory and research to real-life educational settings.

Studying Education and Psychology at Liverpool Hope will help you to develop academically as you engage with evidence and research, professionally as you link theory to practice, preparing you for a wide variety of work contexts, and personally as you think more deeply about your own values and aspirations.

Successful completion of the programme students will lead to Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society (GBC). GBC provides access to postgraduate training programmes accredited by the Society: GBC is a prerequisite for many BPS-accredited postgraduate and doctoral programmes which lead to full Chartered Psychologist status.

This combined honours degree affords students the opportunity to study psychology even if they do not have a background in science, equipping them with the knowledge and skills for a wide range of professions such as educational or clinical psychology, counselling, research, teaching, healthcare, marketing and human resources.
