According to the Tech Partnership, the UK sector skills council for information technology, 96% of organisations reported a skills gap, and 85% of hard-to- fill positions are difficult to recruit to because of a lack of specialist skills, with big data analytics identified as a key skills gap. A degree in Data Science will equip you with the skills needed to work in areas of industry that deal with large datasets. You will learn not only how to extract and analyse data, but how to interpret that data from the analysis done. These are skills that are in demand in many areas of industry and the world in general.
