Program Overview

Study the development of innovative technological and engineering solutions in meeting carbon reduction and energy efficiency. You’ll look at how to apply these within the constraints of project contracts, time and costs.

You’ll work closely with local industry experts. This includes the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, as well as a host of local and national companies.

All your studies will have substantial input from the Leeds Sustainability Institute. They have a strong reputation for producing ground-breaking research in low carbon buildings. You’ll also work alongside fellow students on a design and project brief. This will be for an extension development to our university's city centre Rose Bowl building.

As part of this project, you’ll be involved in practical engineering and strategic design solutions. These will be for the heating, ventilating, air conditioning, lighting and electrical services installations for the proposed building.
