Our BEng and MEng electrical and electronic engineering courses produce engineers with the skills required to work at the forefront of electrical engineering, power and control.

What you will study

• Discover the latest developments in electronic and electrical engineering through high-quality teaching and our laboratory, fabrication and 3D printing facilities.
• Following a common first year in electrical science and electronics, you’ll study specialist topics, including electrical machines, power electronics, power engineering, communication systems, renewable energy generation and control engineering.

Electrical and electronic engineering placements
Our award-winning Professional Training placements help develop your employment skills and prepare you for roles in various sectors. Our students are in high demand and there are many interesting and challenging opportunities on offer both in the UK and abroad.

In recent years, students have had placements with 85 different companies. Well-known names include:
