Diploma in Technology in Marine Engineering

Program Overview

With main responsibilities being the mechanical operations of vessels, you'll maintain and control ship systems and operate machinery in senior positions.
When the program and required sea-time are completed, you'll be eligible to write your engineering examinations and have credits up to the second-class level. This allows you to progress in the marine transportation industry to a senior position relatively quickly.
You'll exit the program with a strong background in marine engineering technology. With real experience at sea, naval architecture and machinery maintenance, you'll quickly stand out from the competition.

Note: The three work terms allow for 180 sea days required for Transport Canada certification. A land-based option is also available.
