Program Overview

This degree is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) comprising the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Institute of Highway Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and the Permanent Way Institution on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of partially (BEng) or fully (MEng) meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng). Candidates must hold a masters or doctorate accredited as further learning for CEng to hold accredited qualifications for CEng registration. You will take part in a week long residential, construction project, 'Constructionarium', where you will build scaled versions of iconic buildings using a range of construction materials
You will take part in the five week multi-disciplinary Interact project with Architecture and Quantity Surveyor students from Glasgow School of Art and Glasgow Caledonian University respectively
There are several engineering-focused student societies, including Glasgow University Civil Engineers (GUCE) and the Female Engineering Society (FemEng)
