With the increasing use of data in business decision making, there is a need for graduates who have a strong understanding of the tools and methodologies for business analysis. Learn to interpret data and use the results to inform business direction. Gain the skills needed to not only operate, but to excel in all sectors of the developing economy.
The MSc in Business Analytics combines the business expertise of the School of Business and Management with the analytics know-how of the School of Mathematical Sciences and is aimed at those who are numerate and have a strong interest in developing statistical and business skills required to succeed in the digital economy.
This exciting programme covers both sides of Business Analytics: Business and Analytics. This represents an important advantage in the executive job market as expertise in only one of the components misses most of the critical synergies that are changing the way business are progressing. The programme is ideal for anybody aiming to direct businesses in today’s digital economy. You will learn how to use insights from business analysis to inform strategy, provide direction for leadership and create value.
Our programme will take you beyond analytics and programming, teaching you how businesses are structured, how they operate and how digital skills are used to enhance business performance. You will gain an awareness of the leadership and organisational challenges associated with large-scale change projects driven by the digitisation of businesses and develop important leadership qualities such as communication, negotiation and teamwork.
