By earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama, students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become a registered nurse at an accelerated pace. With a career in nursing, you’ll inspire change in your organization, community, and beyond. Upon completion of a BSN, students will be able to provide quality care in adult health, mental wellness, and pediatric care while demonstrating ethical decision-making.
The accelerated BSN option is a low residency program available for students who have previously completed a baccalaureate degree. After BSN undergraduate program prerequisites are complete, as listed in the catalog, students will begin clinical and non-clinical professional nursing courses. Once accepted into the nursing program, the didactic portion of the courses will be delivered in an online format. The face-to-face clinical component of the course will be two weekends a month (weekends are defined as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) with the occasional Thursday at designated times and locations.
