Certificate of Reconciliation Studies

Program Overview

This 18 credit program (6 courses) provides a core of coursework and electives from across FNUniv departments that will familiarize students with efforts to close the gap between First Nations and non-First Nations societies within Canada. Course options include class options in INDG, EIND, IHSW, ILP and ADMIN. Programs will be available at our campuses and online.

Reconciliation is an important topic that FNUniv has been addressing for the last 40 years through its programming in different disciplines. This certificate formalizes a course of study that will allow our students and from across Canada to engage in understanding and taking action for reconciliation. Features two new classes INDG 262 Reconciliation and Indigenous Resurgence in Canada and INDG 260 History of Residential Schools in Canada.
