The Master of Occupational Health and Safety provides students with an integrated teaching and research program, with the objective of promoting the highest level of safety and inspiring the next generation of Occupational Health and Safety professionals.
The knowledge and skills developed throughout this course will allow you to confidently address complex workplace occupational health and safety issues through technical knowledge and application. This degree also has an emphasis on communication skills and techniques essential to effectively implement OH&S strategies.

This program has a flexible delivery mode combining online course content with 3-5 days of on-campus block-teaching sessions focused on the exploration and application of the subject material. The on-campus component utilises a range of campus resources, including UOW’s well-resourced OH&S laboratory.

Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
