The Bachelor of Global Studies (Sustainability) is a unique interdisciplinary degree that will equip you with the capacity to formulate solutions to the challenges of globalisation and the development of sustainable communities. The structure of the program follows world megatrends, reflected in the interconnectivity and interplay within diverse fields of study: climate change, sustainable development, global health and disease, international institutions and transnational business. The program also aims to prepare you for fronting increased human security threats through sustained transnational collaboration. The global dialogue needed for the security of globalised communities requires competencies in International Relations, diplomacy and intercultural partnership. The Bachelor of Global Studies (Sustainability) develops you to be an active global citizen with the knowledge and skills to enable you to contribute to the development of sustainable societies of the future. Depending on your interests and needs, you will choose a major to further develop the knowledge gained throughout the program's compulsory subjects and specialise in a field of choice: Australian Studies, Digital Media, Language and Culture (French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese), Global Business and International Relations.

Career opportunities
Graduates of this program will have an increased understanding of critical sustainability issues in the global and local contexts. They will have cognitive skills to identify, analyze and synthesize knowledge relating to different causes and possible solutions to global sustainability challenges. Graduates could expect to find employment in the following fields: Community Development, Foreign Agricultural and Fisheries, Environmental Impact Assessment, Ethical Supply Chain Management, Diplomacy, and Trade.
Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
