With a strong focus on hands-on learning, you will have access to our state-of-the-art testing labs and facilities and work on real and authentic projects. Throughout, you'll be taught by some of Australia's leading researchers, who are tackling the big issues of today.
You will pair what you learn in the lab with the practicality of your data science degree, which includes all the legal and ethical issues associated with the ways society handles and protects its information.
Major: Applied Mathematics
You’ll develop theoretical and applied mathematics skills. You’ll learn about mathematical models used in the physical, environmental and biological sciences and how to apply these to address a wide range of problems. The applied mathematics major allows eligible students membership of the Australian Mathematical Society.
