Studying the Bachelor of Accounting at CQUniversity gives you the opportunity to pursue an area of interest with your choice of specialization and prepares you to work in traditional and emerging fields of accounting.
The Bachelor of Accounting provides you with a degree that is accredited by CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and meets the associate membership requirements of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Graduates are also eligible to join the Association of Taxation and Management Accountants at the member level.
The course is designed to give you the flexibility to tailor your studies and extend your knowledge of complementary discipline areas with options to choose minor studies in areas such as coding foundations, criminology, cyber security, innovation, and public practice. Students who have completed their studies in Australia can apply for a Post Study Work Permit or a Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) to continue working in Australia post the completion of their study programs. As an international student, one can apply for the visa but not later than six months after completing your course. But to be eligible, you must meet the Australian Study Requirements, which include a minimum of 16 months of stay in Australia and a completing 92 weeks of a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
