Graduate Diploma in Classics

Program Overview

The graduate diploma and MA program in Classics at Memorial offers students the opportunity to expand and deepen their knowledge of ancient Greece and Rome. The department is able to provide a flexible course of studies that caters to the individual needs and interests of students. Specific areas of strength are Roman Studies, including literary and cultural studies; Greek literature and historiography; and more broadly, the relation between literary texts and material culture within the various subdisciplines of classical studies.

Graduate diploma - Disciplinary graduate diplomas provide an opportunity to acquire additional academic credentials at the graduate level without committing to a full master’s program. These programs allow students to expand on their knowledge of a particular discipline and may also be used for professional development within their careers.
