The Master of Science in Accounting is a unique 30-credit program designed for students pursuing careers in public accounting, management accounting and government accounting, as well as for those students pursuing careers in the dynamic and growing field of forensic accounting and fraud examination. The program provides qualified students with the opportunity to pursue licensure as a New York Certified Public Accountant. Students may also be interested in pursuing certificates to become a Certified Management Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or a Certified Fraud Examiner.
The program may be completed in one full calendar year if enrolled fulltime. Part-time students are expected to complete the degree within five years. All courses are offered online in an asynchronous or synchronous format. Synchronous online courses are offered in the late afternoon or evening beginning at or after 5 pm to accommodate both traditional fulltime and part-time study.
The program can be tailored towards students without an undergraduate degree in accounting or business through our pathway of non-business major into Masters of Science in Accounting program.

All accepted first year international applicants are guaranteed scholarships (Empire + Green).
Additionally, International students will be automatically considered for our Gold + Empire awards and/or recommendation to our Honors program. On campus residency is required. Scholarships are merit based and not applicable for athletes.
Freshman Scholarships - Our campus has recently announced that we are increasing our scholarships to freshmen applicants starting Fall 2022. As always, all admitted international freshmen are guaranteed a $4,000 scholarship! The new amounts are listed below:
Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
