Program Overview

The objective of these projects is to build up the aptitudes required by experts working in or with Indigenous governments and associations. Carleton's School of Public Policy and Administration (SPPA) offers two exceptional Graduate Diplomas in Indigenous Policy and Administration (IPA).

The projects are intended to furnish understudies with the chance to create social and logical capabilities fundamental to this work: to connect conventional Indigenous perspectives with others, incorporating those installed in the acts of administration and organization that are found by and large Canadian and global settings; to comprehend the multifaceted nature of First Nations, Métis and Inuit history, governmental issues and contemporary structures; and to build up their aptitudes in monetary administration, network advancement, authoritative plan and initiative.

Carleton University offers an assortment of administrations for Indigenous understudies, including those offered through its Center for Aboriginal Culture and Education. What's more, the School of Public Policy and Administration has a developing number of dynamic research coordinated efforts with Indigenous people group, governments, and associations situated in the Ottawa-Gatineau territory and somewhere else in Canada.
