Master of Science in International Events Management

Program Overview

The event industry is currently facing a wide range of issues – meaning that businesses now more than ever are in need of creative managers who can help them get closer to their customers through event marketing, or help solve the difficult issues facing the creative industries.

The event sector was forecasted to grow to over £48 billion by 2020 in the UK alone, and in 2018 it supported 570,000 full time jobs. Our MSc International Events Management course aims to provide specialist training and an in-depth knowledge of the event industry and the full event management cycle for those who are currently working in, or seeking to work in, this dynamic and exciting industry.

As current members of the Association of Event Management Education (AEME) we follow industry trends closely, which is of increasing importance in the current climate. You will have the opportunity to examine actual business case studies, gain hands-on experience of managing real-life events and hear from industry speakers (subject to availability). You can further enhance your employability by undertaking a company internship* as part of your final semester Project module , which has seen past students work for various event venues and organisations such as Compass at the Ricoh Arena and Festival de Rocamadour in the Dordogne.
