On our MA Global Black Studies course, we will situate Black studies, culture, and identity in a global context. The master’s degree aims to unite global perspectives, through course modules you will investigate the underlying historical, cultural, and contemporary patterns of social change. We will look at social change in broad terms but also through specific case studies.

The course will also engage with a range of positive contributions made by the black diaspora in literature, music, film, theatre and the arts, science, business, grassroots activism, and campaigns for social justice.

Minimum Level of Education Required: To be accepted for this program, students must have a Bachelor's Degree.
This course will provide an integrated Masters level degree as well as individual CPD across the range of public and private sector organisations. This course would benefit professionals responsible for diversity or delivering an anti-racist curriculum, such as teachers, schools, academies or local authorities. Major financial institutions are also looking at ways to implement anti-racist policies in their practices.
There is a real search for knowledge in this area at all levels of education, including Early Years. Many local authorities are also exploring this as integral to their education policies going forward.
