The Human Biology with an International Year BSc course offers the opportunity to to spend a year of study at an overseas institution as part of your Human Biology degree.
This four-year course offers you the chance to add an international component to the BSc Human Biology course. Students on this course enjoy the same flexibility and module options as on the corresponding 3-year BSc course, but can add value by studying overseas for one year. See the Modules section for more information on the International Year.
The international year is intercalated between the second and final year of your course, making this a 4-year course. For the international year you have a wide range of potential overseas destinations. When you study for this degree at Birmingham, you’ll focus on the aspects of biology which are most relevant to our own species; genetics, physiology, cell biology, evolution and development, for example. It’s a flexible programme that gives you a broad understanding of biological principles, but also lets you pursue your own interests and helps you to fulfill your career ambitions.
