Program Overview

If you’re passionate about history but also dream of spending time in Russia and becoming fluent in the language – how do you choose which degree to study: We say, choose both!

This joint honours course allows you to combine your curiosity for human experience with your love of communicating in another language. Don't worry if you've not yet started learning Russian, students may start from beginner, GSCE or post A Level abilities.

With History modules ranging from ‘Soviet State and Society’ to ‘Travel and adventure in the Medieval World’ and Russian and Slavonic Studies modules taking you from ‘Screening Russia’ to ‘History of the Balkans from Alexander the Great to Napoleon’ – you’re able to truly personalise this degree around your personal interests or career aspirations.
