Program Overview

Prepares individuals to teach at the intermediate and senior levels (Grades 7 to 12) with a particular emphasis on teaching English and a second teachable.
Options for Concurrent English Language and Literature second teachable: Business, Geography, History, French (ten courses required for second teachable), Health and Physical Education, Music - Vocal or Instrumental (ten courses required for second teachable), Social Sciences and Visual Art.
Graduates will receive two degrees and will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for teaching in the English language school system (Public or Roman Catholic school system) and fulfill the requirements recommendation for certification to the Ontario College of Teachers.

UWindsor Open Entrance Scholarships
International students are automatically considered for the University of Windsor Open Entrance Scholarship ranging from $1,000 - $16,000 provided that the following conditions are met:

Must be coming directly from secondary school studies - the student must have completed a minimum of one term of full-time secondary school studies in the year immediately preceding the academic year that they are applying for.
In the year immediately preceding, the student is not considered to have returned to secondary school studies to upgrade after a year or more break in studies.

While a student may receive an offer of admission, scholarship eligibility is based on final and interim Grade 12 (U and M level equivalent) grades received (between May and July). Once all final grades are received, scholarship eligibility will be reviewed should grades improve sufficient to move in to the next scholarship tier.

Students must register full-time in the academic year immediately following their high school graduation to be considered. Scholarship payment schedule will be adjusted accordingly if a student's start term is deferred to the Winter term. For more information, Click here
