With input from leading organisations like The Institute of Travel and Tourism, Marriott, Visit Manchester and Expedia we’ve developed a course that’s directly relevant to a career in the tourism industry. You’ll explore key questions like what makes an attractive destination? How can marketing be applied in different markets? Which management strategies get the best out of employees?
You’ll develop key skills such as analysing financial statements and planning budgets. You'll explore operational models, delve into human resource management. You’ll also have the opportunity to add a new language to your skillset including Spanish, Modern Arabic or Japanese.
You’ll then discover how to apply your broad set of skills to any challenge your future business or employer might face.
As well as lectures and seminars, you’ll learn by working on projects and doing your own research. Your final year research project is a chance to explore an area in more detail based on your studies or work experience.
This course has a foundation year available. For more information visit the Foundation Year page.
