Master of Science in Entrepreneurship, Finance and Innovation

Program Overview

Our MSc Entrepreneurship, Finance and Innovation programme analyses the entrepreneur, the innovation process and the role of financial support when creating, growing and sustaining start-up companies and organisations.

By studying our master's in Entrepreneurship, Finance and Innovation, you will have the opportunity to explore and reflect on the skills needed for success and the role of old and new financing models in business.

You will learn basic financial calculations, and will be taught how to analyse the financial status of a company and prepare a pitch to an investor. Similarly, you will develop knowledge of accounting and will develop the commercial skills required to monitor and evaluate company performance, and to understand the financial consequences of business decisions, particularly for relatively small and young firms.

This programme will give you the skills and knowledge needed to assess market needs and develop new and improved products. To put the new skills and experiences you've gained from your master's in entrepreneurship into practice, you will spend the duration of a module with a multi-talented group of students to work on a brief from a real company looking to solve a real social or business problem. The Collaborative Project module is the first of its kind to be organised across an entire institution, meaning your learning will be enhanced by students across every discipline.

The latest research on innovation and entrepreneurship feeds directly into the curriculum. This includes research into family businesses, venture capital and private equity, digital entrepreneurial activity, social network analysis, social entrepreneurship, governance, executive compensation and crowdfunding.
