Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geology (Environmental Geoscience)

Program Overview

Geology is the study of the structure, evolution and dynamics of the Earth and its natural mineral and energy resources - if it hasn't been grown, then a geologist has discovered it.  The discipline draws on knowledge from many different aspects of science such as chemistry, biology, and physics as well as other subjects such as geography and environmental science.

Environmental geoscience pathway

The world is under huge environmental threat. From climate change to depletion of resources - we need to find solutions to counter the devastating impact humans are having on the planet. Geology (Environmental Geoscience) BSc at Keele is an applied pathway that aims to combine a broad understanding of geology with a more in-depth knowledge of human interactions with the Earth's environments. You will explore the science behind the world's environmental challenges and the systems that need to change to secure a sustainable future.
