Homeland Security Studies Specialization

International Student Scholarship
Scholarship Award
Beginning in the July 2023 session, a $5,000 International Success Scholarship will be offered to all eligible applicants enrolling in an approved I-20 program and location who are studying in the United States on a F-1 Visa during their first year.
The $5,000 scholarship will be divided amongst the student’s first 3 semesters.

Application Deadlines
Student must meet all enrollment requirements to be admitted into the university prior to the start of the session in which they are applying to start. Students that choose to defer enrollment may only do so for up to two sessions.
Scholarship Criteria
Candidates must demonstrate academic preparedness to qualify for the International Student Scholarship. In addition to the standard admission criteria as set forth by the DeVry University/Keller Graduate School of Management academic policy, the following International Student Scholarship award criteria must be met for both undergraduate and graduate degree programs:
Continuing Eligibility Criteria
Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
