Do you want to shape the future of travel and tourism? UWF's global hospitality and tourism management program gives you the problem-solving skills and experience you need to prepare for a management position in this rewarding field. We offer a learning environment where you will be challenged and encouraged to pursue your individual career goals while gaining the foundation you need for success in the hospitality and tourism industry.
You will choose one of two specializations: Guest Experience Management or Revenue Management and Predictive Analytics.
A common core of courses will give you an understanding of the interrelationships among the global hospitality and tourism industries, based on the underlying concepts of predictive analytics and quality guest experience management.
You will have multiple opportunities to get involved with the hospitality and tourism industry, including internships and volunteering at events. The Department of Global Hospitality and Tourism Management also hosts industry professionals and conducts industry research.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
