Program Overview

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences welcomes applications from both talented students and clinicians interested in pursuing ophthalmic research. We offer Masters and PhD training in ophthalmology in three laboratories of the scientists/clinician-scientists in the Department Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, and provide opportunities for clinicians interested in fellowships. Exciting research opportunities that encompass a broad spectrum of ophthalmology, including: ocular genetics, ocular physiology, retinal research, tele-ophthalmology and ophthalmic applications of nanotechnology, are available.
