Dance has a history, a place in contemporary culture, with specific methods for achieving excellence. At Nova Southeastern University, you'll appreciate our beautiful facilities, experienced faculty and opportunities to hone your craft as a dance artist.
NSU offer you opportunities to explore a diverse range of dance forms ranging from ballet and jazz to modern and improvisation. Throughout your time in the program, you will participate in a variety of masterclasses and explore professional opportunities by completing an internship. NSU’s Bachelor of Arts in Dance enables you to develop the creative skills needed to produce an original show. You’ll have opportunities to work with dance professionals both inside and outside of the classroom and gain valuable performance experience as a member of the NSU Dance ensemble. With a dance degree from NSU, you’ll be prepared for a wide range of careers.
The dance major provides students with an understanding of how dance fits into a larger, global context and helps students develop in several areas: technical proficiency, historical and cultural perspectives, personal artistry, and production skills. Through dance technique classes, rehearsals and a range of performance opportunities, you'll gain the experience and training needed for a successful career in dance. As a dance major, you’ll also learn the behind-the-scenes process of putting a show together and get the opportunity (in choreography and dance composition courses) to develop your unique voice as an artist.

It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
