Our Master's International Direct pairs a Direct Entry I-20 with customized support during the first term of students' graduate studies in MEng Electrical and Computer Engineering. Students will benefit from increased support throughout the predeparture and academic journey as they study alongside domestic students.

Continued Success Scholarship • No application needed, automatically awarded following successful completion of International Direct, International Year One or Undergraduate Transfer Program and matriculation to OSU if students meet the following eligibility requirements: • Achieve a minimum GPA 3.5 in International Direct, International Year One or Undergraduate Transfer Program to qualify for $3,000 per year • Achieve a minimum GPA 3.75 in International Direct, International Year One or Undergraduate Transfer Program to qualify for $5,000 per year • Maintain consecutive enrollment at OSU as a full time degree seeking student in an approved undergraduate program • Renewable as long as student remains in good academic standing, maintaining a GPA 3.5+ • Can not be combined with Regional Award or Provost Scholarship for Excellence. Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
