The Accounting - Accounting Information Systems sequence integrates technology with accounting and opens the door to many careers in both accounting, finance, and information systems.
Accounting Information Systems Sequence
This sequence is designed to provide entry-level accountants with information systems and technology skills and competencies as required for our separate accounting department accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). This sequence will also prepare accountants to be critical business users of information technology in a business analytics context and an evaluator of information systems.

Jesse W Fell Scholarship • Apply for admission by November 1 for the following academic year • Scholarship application is due December 15 • Direct Undergraduate Freshman • Eligible for the Honors Program • Minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale • Awarded through a competitive scholarship competition • Renewable up to four years if student maintains a cumulative 3.0 GPA Undergraduate International • Renewable annually for four years or through the length of the student’s original study plan, if student maintains a cumulative 2.75 GPA • Minimum 3.0 GPA for $1,000 per year • Minimum 3.5 GPA for $2,000 per year Graduate International Admissions Scholarship • Minimum 3.5 GPA on 4.0 scale • Students with graduate assistantships are not eligible • Renewable annually through the length of the student’s original study plan, if the student maintains a cumulative 2.75 GPA |

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):
