Students who successfully complete an INTO Mason Graduate Pathway program in Bioinformatics Management are assured progression to a Mason graduate degree program upon submission of additional required application materials.
Upon successful completion of an INTO Mason Pathway program and meeting university requirements for graduate admission, you may enter your second semester of graduate study at George Mason University. This transition from an INTO Mason Pathway program to a university degree program is called 'progression.'

Undergraduate Scholarships: Regional scholarship • Limited availability on a first-come, first-served basis. • Applicable to International Year One or Undergraduate Transfer Program enrollments. Progression scholarship • Successful completion of International Year One or Undergraduate Transfer Program and matriculate to George Mason. • Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 on International Year One or Undergraduate Transfer Program to qualify for $3,000 per year • Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5 on International Year One or Undergraduate Transfer Program to qualify for $6,000 per year. • Maintain consecutive enrollment at George Mason as a full-time, degree-seeking student in an approved undergraduate program. • Renewable up to three years as long as the student remains in good academic standing, maintaining a GPA of 3.0+. International scholarship • No scholarship application is required since all directly admitted international students are eligible for scholarship consideration starting at $6,000. • Applicable to full-time first year Direct Entry degreeseeking international enrollments. • High academic standing is required. • Must have non-immigrant and non-resident status; an F-1 visa is also required. Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
